Default Motherboard and Processor Upgrade

Hi

Please could anyone recocmend a motherboard and a processor that i could use to upgrade my computer. I have a 933MHz socket 370 processor at the moment but would like to upgrade.

Please could you suggest any ideas under my budget of 150

depends on what you want the new mobo and processor for ,
for gaming i would recommend dual core but just for general office tasks and web surfing i would recommend a pentinum4 ,so if you say what you want the computer for i am sure quite a few people will have recommendations .

Maybe gaming but are dual cores very expensive?

I think just that processor is your budget in euros, and that is the cheapest core 2 duo, plus a motherboard thats good for gaming...but with these parts, I think its about 250 euros, I think thats what I calculated

could i get a dual core motherboard but then put a pentium D processor in it and upgrade to a core 2 duo later on?

what type is it ie ddr, or is like pc133 or something

plus can somebody just confirm for me that the processor and mobo i suggested (post8) are compatible

In my system spec it says 512MB (SDRAM)

is this enough information or how do i find out the type?

type as well , best thing to do run everest or go which you can downlload for free
or go to to www.crucial.com and then run the memory advisor and post what it says here

to me it just looks like sd ram pc133 cos it has a clcok speed of 133mhz but that new mobo is ddr2 memory slots. If i am corect you cant put that sd ram in the ddr2 slots so you will have to buy new memory
