So, my friends mobo crapped out on him and newegg ran out of stock with the motherboard so they refunded his credit... but anyways, he already has this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103249 the amd phenom II cpu..and i was thinking this biostar mobo would work well expecially since he has an aftermarket cooler and its already modifed for ocing it seems. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138130

also possibly this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131368

I have that Biostar board and I would say its a good board... The ratings on it aren't the best but they aren't bad either but I haven't had a problem at all with mine. I may have just got a good board but either way it has some really good OC'ing options and settings. the BIOS was a little tricky to figure out at first cuz some of the stuff is buried but once I got used to it everything was good... I haven't really had any experience with any other AM2 boards but I would say that for the money the Biostar is well worth a try...Also as a side note the only weird thing about the biostar board is that the master slot for the GPU is on the bottom of the board which I thought was kinda weird but its fine for a dual slot GPU and my 4870 runs at about 50 degrees at idle and maybe 65 max under load on 40% fan so its not really a temp issue...:D:D
