Default Motherboard/CPU Question.

So, my friends mobo crapped out on him and newegg ran out of stock with the motherboard so they refunded his credit... but anyways, he already has this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103249 the amd phenom II cpu..and i was thinking this biostar mobo would work well expecially since he has an aftermarket cooler and its already modifed for ocing it seems. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138130

also possibly this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131368

I have that Biostar board and I would say its a good board... The ratings on it aren't the best but they aren't bad either but I haven't had a problem at all with mine. I may have just got a good board but either way it has some really good OC'ing options and settings. the BIOS was a little tricky to figure out at first cuz some of the stuff is buried but once I got used to it everything was good... I haven't really had any experience with any other AM2 boards but I would say that for the money the Biostar is well worth a try...Also as a side note the only weird thing about the biostar board is that the master slot for the GPU is on the bottom of the board which I thought was kinda weird but its fine for a dual slot GPU and my 4870 runs at about 50 degrees at idle and maybe 65 max under load on 40% fan so its not really a temp issue...
