Default which motherboard

I am building a new rig (my first build) soon. I think I am going to go with an AMD 3800 FX2 or a 4200 FX2. I would like to get a motherboard with sli capability for the future. Most that I have seen have only 2 or 3 pci slots in addition to the pci express slots. I think there are x16, x1, and x4 for the pcie slots. Do regular pci devices fit any of these types or do I need to use only the pci slots. 2 or 3 doesn't seem to be that many for adding things. Any recommendations for a motherboard between $100 to $200? Thanks

Default Re: which motherboard

Are you going for the socket 939 or socket AM2 processors?

Here are a couple of nice boards:

AM2 - ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe

Socket 939 - ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
