Default more ram? will it really help?

hey all

i have a athlon 1700+
128mb 9600xt
80gb 7200RPM 8mb buffer HD
512mb pc3200 kingmax RAM

even though its slightly outa date i use it to game. would an additional 512mb of pc3200 RAM really help my performance?? i see a lot of people with 1gb but they have like athlon64's, so i was wondering if my system would do any better with it

yes, I would think so depending on your application.

It'll help, but not nearly as much as upgrading your cpu.

Upgrade your processor, not your ram. 512MB is ok for now, but an Athlon 1700+ is OLD! Invest in a new MOBO and Processor and make it AMD64 if at all in your budget range! You will thank me later, despite it being about 350 to upgrade it all!
