it could be that the brightness or one of the monitor settings isn't right and only when the screen saver pops are the settings not loaded because it doesn't have time.

well i've tried changing resolutions with this monitor to higher ones then switching over to the other monitor but still the same screen with power saving mode comes up and and disapears after 1-2 seconds. I dont believe the new monitor is broken because it is able to show the power saving mode but then just switches to a black screen with a orange light.

i've noticed a thing called "bpp" which i can change from 16 or 32 bpp. Currently its on 32 but i think im gonna change it to 16. Do you think it will make much of a difference?
