You are looking for a KVM switch, I am using one as we.....type. haha
KVM= keyboard, video, mouse.
You can use the same kb, mouse, and monitor with 2 pc's.

jw wts the advantage of having two cpus hooked up to one monitor? does it run faster? does it use all the [i]stuff[i] from each computer to make it run faster?

You don't neceserely need a kvm switch you can use a cable but you will have to have to keyboards and to mice. If your are interested in the cable option you will have to give me a day or two to find the and it also depends on your monitor capabilites.
