Monitor/graphics card problem?

Screen shot doesn't show any flickering lines. If there were lines on the screen during that, I would have to say that it's probably monitor based. But, try downloading a program called SpeedFan (it's totally free and virus free) and check what your processor and video card temperatures are, and then post them here. Also, try your computer on another monitor and see if the problems persist.

The easiest way to tell is to just push the menu button on the monitor. If the lines are on top of the menu, bad monitor. If the menu pops up on top of the lines, video card is to blame and can usually be fixed by replacing TIM and making a custom fan profile to ramp the speed up. Or if it is the vRAM, you would need to install RAMsinks. We will need temps if it is the gpu.

I don't know much about this stuff, but ussually, monitors last a long time, but with experience with laptops, Video cards ussually cause the lines...
