Default monitor flickers...

the drivers are downloaded and installed and the optimal resolution and refresh rate are correctly set...

viewsonic graphics series gs790...

is it dying on me...?

What do you mean by flickers? Does it do it constantly? Over the whole screen? and how badly...it could well be that the monitor is dying, but also could be a loose connection or even a bad graphics card.

are you're vga cables plugged in properly? maybe a dodgie lead? tryed re-seating you're graphics card?

thanks for the suggestions, I took the card out and reseated it, then I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and got a message to download the "unsigned" driver and install that instead...

it worked...
