mom wants a new laptop (caution stubborn)

hey guys, well my mom put the boot to her old DELL recently, now she wants a new computer, all she really does is use word documents, surf the internet, watch movies, ETC.

now she doesnt want to go to any computer prefereed stores, she would rather go to bestbuy, ETC

can you guys help me fina a good laptop, that will be a bang for the buck? mostly uner 1K please

For under 1k, you could probably get any decent laptop from Dell, HP etc for a decent CPU and RAM setting. Since her application uses are mostly word doc, internet, movies and such, get like a laptop with Dual 2.0GHz (maybe more if you have budget), 3-4 GB RAM and 250-500 5400RPM HDD.

That would be under 1k for sure.
