I think that depends on the Dial up/Fax software you have on your machine, otherwise if you are just trying to have a fax machine on a home phone line and have the computer on the internet occasionally. The dial up will not interfere with the modem. I hope this answers your question.

Yes, that modem supports caller ID and call waiting as long as you have that service with your phone provider. Most all V.92 modems support that feature.
