"Mode not supported"

When I try and boot up Assassin's creed 3 from Uplay I get a black screen then 2 grey boxes appear the one on the left says HDMI Game the other one says "Mode Not Supported."

You using a Tv screen?

Try changing the resolution settings.

Okay I My tv screen is a weird resolution 1176x664 is just a small bit to small and 1280x720 is to big but windows recommends it Ps I did change the resolution before running the game the same thing happened
