Default Mobo sound card question

When I buy a motherbord is it recommended to to buy a better sound card than the one integrated on the Mobo. Im just gonna put in a 2 speaker setup. nothing special. Planning to get a $25 sound card

I don't think a $25 sound card will give you much over on-board sound.

Yeah like cabbs said, it wont do anything. but if your computer is like 3 years old (Modern motherboards usually have hardware dsp's for sound and usually put out 96khz 24bit as older ones do not). then maybe a $25 card would be useful
