Lots of luck with the ABIT Quad-GT, ASUS P5B DLX, ABIT IN9-MAX. All 680i chipsets seem to be hit or miss with good overclocking results, unless the motherboard manufacturer test each chipset, like DFI and ABIT.

Ok, I'll take a look at those, I was thinking about a 650i but if you say those are hit and mixx maybe I'll keep looking.

He mentioned the 680i's not the 650's. Although odds are there isn't much of a difference between the two.

From personal experiance, i know taht the 680i is a good OC'er up to a 25% OC (what ever FSB that is, i don't know off hand). That seems to be universal on many forums (like evga's). My guess is maybe ownage is talking about extreamly high OC's when it comes to hit or miss.

Are almost all P965 boards good for overclocking? And abit makes a 650i, would that be good too? Or should I get the cheaper MSI 650i?

New but its nice.

More likely this one.

Both seem to be good OC'ers. BTW, if I dont have the newest speakers, will I notice a difference in sound if I buy a sound card? If so, what's a good sound card? Just curious, possibly for a future upgrade.

personally, weather its the 680, or 650 i'd get EVGA. they make great quality products as well as good customer support. if stuck with either the MSI or Abit, i'd get the MSI.

I don't think 500FSB is that high. Especially on an E6300. Thats only 3.5Ghz, easily doable on a good chip.
ABIT is your best bet after DFI for overclocking motherboards. MSI is lacking in the BIOS department. eVGA and XFX and BFG and others like them just use nvidia's reference design. Which is nothing spectacular.

That MSI I am getting had reviewers saying that it had good OCing facilities, but my current one can get 2.0ghz at most, so 3ghz would be great, and if I ot 3.5 I would be verrrrry happy.
