Missing info in Dxdiag

Ever since I reinstalled Windows my sound hasn't worked and I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the BIOS info missing. The sound is "working properly" in the Device Manager but there is No Audio Device when in the Control Panel. So how do I get the BIOS info on there and get my sound to work?
