Mini Dvd Camcorder Help

My family has had this camcorder for quit some while and I'm trying to find a way to get the video files to the computer, and I've tried everything I could think of. First of all, It is a Sony Handycam which records onto mini dvd-rw disks, and when your done with a disk you finalize it, take it out, and then you can use it as a really dvd or copy it with nero, but I'm trying to find a way to just get the video files on my computer. The manual doesn't say anything about how to get the files on the computer and only tells how you can copy the disk. When I insert the disk on my computer it comes up almost exactly like an actual dvd (with a "video ts" folder, etc.) and yet I still haven't found a way to do this. If anyone could help me with this it's be great, and if you have any other questions just ask.

EDIT: I'm looking to get it on my computer as a watchable format like avi, etc. (for uploading onto youtube and such).

umm...doesn't that just copy dvd's? Cause I can already do that. And I'm looking to get it on my computer as a watchable format (for uploading onto youtube and such).

thats why you dont buy a dvd camcorder. but ummm u can take the vob files off the dvd then convert them with this program to an avi or mpeg or watever.

yea i didnt buy it...best buy talked my mom into it. damn them.

ugh i hate the salesppl at bestbuy. when my friend bought a pc there, the guy forced him to buy norton antivirus and some 40 dollars anti spyware program which sucks.
