Default mineral oil cooled computer

This is definitely the most creative way of cooling your computer down.
What do you guys think about it?

Yeah, that's been posted here before a number of times.

edit: That's cool, I still doubt it works. I'd like to see it in person...but that's just me.

It works because mineral oil doesn't conduct electricity unlike water.

Yeah, I figured that far. Like I know it works, but for some reason I believe it doesn't. It's really weird...I still think something should go wrong when hardware is submerged in liquid....

Sorry about the bad Link.
I was thinking of trying it on a dodgey pentium III comp to see what it would be like but mineral oil is expensive and smells.
You can't put your DVD drive or HDD in the mineral oil because it will just fry because it needs to be spinning at such high revs that the mineral oil will slow it down too much. But it is a good idea for cooling, espicially when they hooked up a radiator to it to keep temperatures down

technically pure water doesn't conduct electricity

True but it's hard to get pure water and it's easier to get impurities in it or something rather. all i remember is it was a bad idea to use it.
