Give me information about the Millennium Bug or year 2000 problem please

How did the scientists fix the problem?

There was no millenium bug.

Some ATM's and Eftpos systems acted up,some alarms went off,some slot machines stopped working and a few websites showed the date as 19100.

No big problems really.

I was rather young when it all went down (10). Was it really just a bunch of hype over nothing? The whole thing about jail cells opening and nuclear bull crap because of some dates? I didn't really buy much of it at the time.. I mean the thought of a jail door opening because the computers date was incorrect was just funny to even think about..

It was more hype than anything. They say Y3K is going to be the real problem year. But we won't be alive then. Or, will we?........
