C2D = Core 2 Duo, the Intel dual core CPU.

So you lost power in your home for a few seconds, but the computer never rebooted or shut down because of it?

Have you tried bypassing the router and connecting directly to the modem? Are you sure that both the router and modem are functioning properly?

If you already have mouse/keyboard/monitor, $300 dollar build shouldn't be that hard. The one i'm building costs me $370 total with shipping including $27 extra for mouse and keyboard.

Don't take ppl at circuit city seriously. A $170 mobo is pretty high end. Just buy or better yet build a new one. NEWEGG.COM

Processors- $59 Athlon 5000 at Newegg
Mobo- $67 + $9 shipping http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813186141
Ram- $20 4gb (overkill but same price for 2 gb) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227199
Power- 25$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817148027
case- find a nice cheapo one for under $30 or reuse your old one
Hard Drive- $50 260 gig http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148261

total about $270
I suggest getting a new comp anyway...
