microsoft update

i cannot update my computer using microsoft update, whenever i try, it says unable to install updates, any ideas thanks

Hmm, do you have a validated version of windows? i.e, an original copy?

yes, i have validated it and windows says its a genuine copy

Hmm weird.

Have you by any chance tried turning on auto updates?

Go to the Control Panel, and go to System, and then to the Auto Updates tab.

Turn it on, and check if that does anything.

If its already on, try turning it off and proceed to the Windows Update manually and try again.

Hopefully someone can help with this better than me.

iv tried installing them with it on and off and both times i have no luck.
