Default Microsoft quicksearch

My computer, whenever searching the computer or seaching on mozilla does this quick search thing. as you type the word itll find it in recent searches and show it in a dropdown box. its really starting to annoy me because i dont use it. how do i get rid of it or atleast empty it? im running xp

Well the offending problem is called autocomplete, dont worry just highlight them when the come up and press the delete key. Otherwise clear all the offline files, cookies etc.

I think the thing you should do, go to the tools, click on the options and clear the history and clear the cookies. That will take care of everything.

i cant seem to delete them and deleting the cookies didnt work now what?

i can only delete them in windows

i cant seem to get rid of them for mozilla

did you go to the tools and clicked on options.. then click clear, it should work because i have mozilla too.
