Default Microphone

I have the latest audio drivers for my motherboard. When using ventrilo or any other form of communication when speaking through my mic the other people can hear me but when they start talking they can hear themselves from my mic. Also I use a headset. When I go into the control panel and test audio hardware I cant hear myself when I speak throught the mic. Anyone have any suggestions?

Default Re: Microphone

do you have voice activated on instead of push button to talk? the sound of another person speaking coming out of your headset or w/e you use for sound could be loud enough that your mic is picking it up as if you are talking , hence the voice or sound activated settings
