Default Messaging to network computers..

So, I need to be able to send messages to other computers around the house, I have tried this NETSEND, however, I cannot get it to work.

I could do with it being software free, and the message should be able to pop up on the computers screen.

Software would not be too much of a problem, but of course it would be nice to be able to do it without software.

I can't use MSN, or anything like that, there must be a way.

Does anyone know about netsend, and whether or not it is possible, please help!

+ Rep for anyone who can help.

Thanks, James.

In order for netsend to work you need to enable the messenger service.

Yea, I know, however, it still does not seem to work.

Oh well, I can re-frame from sending scary messages to my mother

Try this

or this:

It's a trial download but if you like it you could look into "activating" it. It's weird that NET SEND isn't working for you; the two computers are networked and you've got the right network domain right? And you're not getting any "The service is not enabled" errors right?

haha i have had some interesting moments with net send at school. Never do "net send * message" in a public area. Sends to everybody. Including teachers :P
