Memory Upgrade Confusion??

Hello, I purchase a new pavillion phoenix pc. I wanted to upgrade the memory but am a little confused. On the website it states the memory option are:

PC3 8500 (1066 MHz) and PC3 10600 (1333 MHz)

It currently has PC3 10600 installed in it. Does that mean to upgrade a have to stay with PC3 10600 or can I move to something faster.

Any ideas or recommendations? Thanks.

You can install memory with higher speed ratings but the memory wont necessarily operate that those speeds.
