Default Memory Stick Problem

well here it goes. about a week ago from when i posted this post, i got a 8GB memory stick. i plugged it in and my computer said something about speeding up my PC. i clicked ok and it said we recomend 4090mb for optimal performance so i clicked ok and yeah. and i think i got a virus on my computer the next day fro ma download and i had to delete my vista partiton and install win XP again. the only problem is... my memory stick and only hold 4gb now even if i reformat and check disk. what should i do?

I'm not to sure if this will help but have you tied going into disk management to see if you can reset it in there, also have a look here and try this if you haven't already
