MEMORY QUESTION?!?!?!?! please help me figure this out.....

Ok so i want to upgrade my memory on my compaq presario 5108us.

It has had everything replaced except for the memory and mother board.

OK, well all of the sites tell me my max upgradable memory size is 768 mb.

I also have a program called sisoft sandra that tells me i can upgrade to 1.5 gb

who do you think is right?


is there a test i can run to see how much i can upgrade?

please help

Well, the only test that will give you true results is to try it. See if you can borrow some RAM from a friend just to try it out. If you can't do that, I would trust whatever Compaq says about it.

Since the web pages say it's 768 it's prolly 768. If u checked the manufacturers site it should be right there, it also should be right on any website that sells those.
