Memory question

^ exactly.

The reason DDR3 has such bad timings is because of the high clocks though. I have gotten my DDR3 to 1066 MHz 5-5-5-15 before, as an experiment, then I benched it againt DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 that someone had on OCN... results were pretty much the same.

It is possible to get it to low latencies though. I didnt even have RAMsinks on it...

I think my ram is running at 5-5-5-15, or at least according to CPU-Z. The ram I bought says its 4-4-4-12. Like I said, I never touched anything besides the FSB.
So then no matter what volts the RAM has (assuming everything else is compatible), it won't affect my OC?

I guess I will just stick with DDR2 then. Too bad I can't find any nice DDR2 boards with the Intel x38/x48 chipset to support CF.
