Memory question

Ok, im not to good with computers but I was wondering could I have a stick of 1gb ram with a stick of 512mb in my computer? Because I only have 512 right now so I was just wondering if I could put a stick of 1gb in right now.

In all newer motherboard configurations I would say a most definately yes.
But if you have an older board it may not handle that.
So without knowing what you have it is almost impossible to answer that question.
In saying such, I have to refer you back to the manufacturer's website for you to checkout what your specs are .
