Memory Latency

Hello all,

could someone explain to mean what memory latency is all about. i know that the lower the number the faster it is but i havnt got a clue what the numbers mean.

for example:

Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3500LL Pro TwinX has a latency of 2-3-2-6-1T but what do these numbers represent?

thanks daemon, if it wasnt for a different graphics card, that system they used to bench mark the memory is pretty much the same as mine.
