Memory Confit *Dial Up behare*

Read what CPUZ says about my memory size, than look at the task manager memory size? there diffrent, Me and thrilla traded and I got a PC3200 TCCC 256MB Its the same has my other stick, Just my stick is 512MB and this one is 256MB....

Question:

1. How do I fix this?
2. Can this be a memory confit?
3. When I take out the 512MB and leave the 256MB in the slot that dont work it works, but when both of them together the 256MB dont work.




My mobo is K8M800-8237 by Gigabyte

Does the questionable stick of RAM work in another compatible machine without error?

My guess would be that either Vista don't pick up the 256MB stick or there is just a bug with the memory handeling.

I agree with lhuser on this one. If CPU-Z shows 768MB, then that is all working RAM. But if Windows only shows 512, I think the issue might be with Windows itself.
