Default Memory???????

Okay. I have a brand new Toshiba Satellite A215-S4697 laptop with Windows Vista and was wondering if this memory would be able to work with it:

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231123

Which one would be better?

Thanks a lot.

Repost links.

Those don't work will help as soon as good links are up.

Also Since its a Laptop normal ram won't work as seen in this picture:

Also its usually a lot more expensive.
The circle is the space for more ram.

Is a heat spreader really worth it?

Ok they work now but how much are you willing to pay?
I see your memory specs:

Memory Type DDR2

Memory Size 1GB (512MB x 2)

Memory Speed PC2-5300

Memory Slots (Total) 2

Memory Slots (Available) 0

What you need is to get is 2 one gb sticks of DDR2 667.
You would take out the old 512 sticks and put the other sticks in and have fun with the left over sticks.

I would get this one Because Patriot makes pretty good ram and its not below 50 dollars. (Good thing cuz when Desktop ram for the same size is double the money it makes me suspicious and the thing is there smaller)

As for a heat spreader in a laptop it might be good to have but theres not much airflow in there if you know what I mean. I would go with the 2 sticks of 1 gb so it puts less strain on the one stick.(also not that good with laptops but they might be Dual Channel but I'm probably wrong )
