Yeah, it'll work, but the RAM just downclocks to the speed that motherboard can support. You should still get it though. Why? Because if you upgrade to a motherboard that can support DDR-500 in the future, your RAM will be running at it's potential. It's always good to think ahead.

will skt939 ever use more than ddr400?

wouldnt that memory allow higher oc'ing?(it wouldnt limit the oc) like b/c it can run up to 500mhz, but would be only using 400-470mhz it would be more stable and run faster?

i hope that makes sense.

One thing that my P4S800D-X won't do. Check your mobo manual. Mine says it can take up to DDR533

do any amd-supporting mobo's support that high of speeds? i looked around newegg, and none have it listed that it can take that.
