i get the message when i play avi

0xC00D11CD: Unknown error
Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to Windows Media Player.

Because this generic message can be displayed in a wide variety of circumstances, there is no single solution.

Possibly the file is corrupt, try playing it in something like winamp or real player

Yes u can play avi's with wmp. maybe you dont have the correct codec installed. I dont know what that error means.
Winamp is better for playing avi's anyways. Actually, winamp is the best player for anything.
