massage on start up

on winXP how do you put a message on start up i have seen them before my sons school has them saying on the top Kingstone(school name) school network information, if you press ok it takes you to the screen where you select your account you want to go on, i would like to put one on saying something, thankx

It could quite possibly be a security software they've installed on all their computers.. but iy's hard to say from what your trying to describe, could you try and give a better description?

when you turn on the pc it runs up and everything and just before it goes on to the screen where you choose your accound which you would like to go on a middle size box comes up with a message in you can dicide what that message is, then you press ok(the only option) and then it takes you to the screen
