Hey guys. I'm in the market for a new LCD monitor and I need help with my choices.
Just for some background information, I currently have a ViewSonic VA720 and according to CNET, anything will do better than what I currently have.
My gaming rig is a ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe with an AMD 4000+ CPU, 1 gig of mushkin ram, WD Caviar 120 and 320 Gig no RAID, and two EVGA nVidia 6800GS running in conjunction with each other (SLI).
So far, I have my sights set on this Acer:

But what also caught my eye were these SCEPTREs. I've read the reviews and they said they're great for gaming and clarity and quality are good, but they fall apart very easily and aren't well made.

I was also at one point considering a Dell UltraSharp 2007FP/2007WFP/1905FP, and the ViewSonic VX924.

The idea was that I was going to have a widescreen for my main screen (the Acer or the SCEPTRE), and have two normal ratio (non-widescreen) monitors on both sides of the widescreen (The Dell, or the ViewSonic), to get the three monitor set up going (I need it for productivity).
I like my gaming and I usually don't like it when something doesn't work right with my gaming (I'm sort of a perfectionist), which is why I'm running SLI right now, and I have surround sound. I also like watching movies on my computer, especially when I'm away at school.
But right now, due to financial situations, I'm just focusing on a new main monitor.
I want one that's good over all with gaming, DVD playback, and web browsing. I'm not doing anything pro like image or graphic editing.
Again, I'm pretty confident I'm going to spend my money on the Acer. I'm currently aiming for the Dells afterwards because of their flexibility...how you can turn them vertical and stuff like that...
I'm pretty happy with my ViewSonic...but it's about time I upgrade.
Your guys' help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
