Man that's hot!

eh, i don't really care, it's my sister's computer and i am about to build a powerhouse pc, so i don't really care what happens to this one.

Wal-Mart...

Wal-Mart has some cheap little digital indoor/outdoor thermometers. Around 10 to 12 dollars US. I have planted the outdoor sensor on the motherboard with the tape supplied and taken readings. Let it sit for an half hour or so to stablize. Just run the wire out one of the drive bays and press the cover back in just to seal up the hole. Don't pinch off the cable. It pretty accurate plus or minus a couple of degrees.
Oh it's all plastic so no problem with shorting anything out.

well, it has been running about two hours, at the same temps, no lagging, and no warnings from the computer. my sister has had it for two years now at the same fan configuration, i just never checked the temps, i guess it just runs this way.
