Hi, I have a Seagate Medalist 9 gig SCSI HD model ST39140W. I don't see it saying anywhere on the hard drive how to make it a slave. I found info on it on Seagates website, its also doesn't say anything, or at leat that I understand. If anyone could take a look at this hard drive and see if the can make any sense of it it would be greatly appricated. Thanks, Kyle.

Well, no one else seems to want to answer and I have no knowledge of scsi, but here goes. Why would you want to deal with a 9 gig hdd? If you do, just attach it to the IDE 0 ribbon and boot XP. It should recognize it and install it.

Ok thanks, so do you mean just plug it in? :) I want to mess with it because its what I have and its all I need on this computer

Thanks for the help. Would you happen to know which SCSI ID you would set it to to make it a slave?
