Yeah the only canadian site I know of is Tigerdirect so I guess you gotta order from there. But trust me, building it isn't hard at all. All it is is reading manuals and paying attention to what you're doing. You should also maybe google for some guides as to how to do it just so you get a better understanding. We can help you order the right parts to incase you don't know if certain parts will be compatible.

I suggest you get an SATA hdd, much faster than IDE. IDE is also getting old as they already have SATA 2 drives out. Everything is compatible though so far. Are you gonna need mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor, etc.?

sata is good but you wont really notice a difference. although if ur spending that much money you should get sata instead

I also just remembered. You're gonna need a case and good PSU. The PSU should be nothing more than 500W and even that's kinda pushing it. Some credible brands are OCZ, Antec, and Thermaltake, but there are a few others that are good.

Unless of course he buys the case from a company that makes good PSU's, but even then I'd still suggest just getting them seperate.

exactly. if it comes with the alien-x aspire psu's they are good but not as good as if you just bought them seperate
