Default majorly confused please help!!!!!!

Ok so I rebooted my computer and i was wondering if there is any way i could unboot it so it could be before i rebooted it. If I am un able to do that i need to know how to connect to the internet. This is my adapter and i know nothing about it or even the info needed to use it. I have the installation CD but when i install it i still cant connect to the internet.

Do you have a wireless access point on another computer/router in your house?

Do you have an account with an ISP?

Have you ever had this working at all?

I have a wireless router, ive got no idea wht an ISP account is, and before i rebooted it was working. I had troubles getting it installed before and i had to go through their customer service which took me 2 hours to find the problem but that was about 6 months ago and i cant remember what i had to do

If:

No access point - no net
No account - no net

Previously has connected then possibly .......

a/. too far from access point
b/. lan not configured correctly

I guess when we get some more info it will be easier to troubleshoot
