Major pop-up problem

im getting a mass amount of pop ups even when a windo isnt open,it started yesterday.I need to fix it quick,any ideas?

try running an anti-spyware scan (or several, with different applications). i suggest ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, and windows defender.....all are free to download and use).

yes im running a norton scan and a adware scan and just to make sure I redownloaded mozila,im pretty sure it was a ad ware attack because the addware scan found 72 itens and norton found 19

Iv ran an adware scan and a full system norton scan and deleted everything it found but im still getting pop ups.when I use mozila a tab will open and I new to stop it,how do I keep mozila from opening tabs?
