Right, look at where you connect the SATA cable to your pc on the back of the HDD, there should be a series of 5 sets of pins or something like that..like this:

right, lets say the jumper is on one of those, that will be on the master pins. look for a little diagram on the HDD, explaining where to put the jumpers for certain situations, I.E master, cable select, slave.
take the jumper off master, and put it on the slave pins, put the HDD in, boot up and it will just be a second hard drive, kinda like a removable drive, except it shows in the hard drive bit in my computer.
