AMD is usually cheaper, notice in PRICE not quality
other than that, I don't know much, someones probably gonna say something about architecture
No idea what that is in a chip

Intel has better performance, but it cant beat the budgeted price of AMD.
AMD has a better price/performance ratio than Intel.

They are both good, it all depends on what you want to spend as with most things.

Get the AMD PHEONOM II !!!!

Uhm branding? I mean...lamborghini could make an impala with their logo and they could sell it for 3 x the price.

But truly, Intel does have better processors.
Most people would complain about
Performance (3.2 ghz athlon is slower than intel 3.0ghz e8400) Its like putting label V8 engine on car but still cant beat V6.
Heat- they do run hotter
Stability- I cant say i've experienced it but that is a complaint
And power usage

It really matters what processor you get, not the brand. They are both good. But if you want to spend little money but have a good system wait for the Phenom II's from AMD or buy the C2 series from Intel.

If you want to spend money buy the Core i7.
