Default Major Decrease in CPU temp!

I just turned a case fan right at the cpu fan blowing cold air at it and im getting an idle temp of 34 c after overclocking! Decreased around 6-7 degrees. think i need a Zalman 9700 now? ha

Yeah, nice cool air going into the cpu will do that. I had the same result on my old machine when I put a Thermaltake Extreme Volcano 12 on it which was a copper heat sink and had a much bigger fan than the stock cooler did. I didn't even have to run it at half speed and I got temps that were 7-8 degrees (celsius) cooler than stock. No overclocking though.

well the Zalman is still a great cooler... you'll probably see the difference in load temps though.

you'll prolly have another 10 degree drop when u get the zalman

Think i woud still need the Zalman? i fixed my CPU fan and it snaps [erfectly in place. I tried overclocking it to 3.2 and windows wasnt stable. dotn see the need of buying a new CPU fan now. Maybe still buy a GPU fan.

There is no point wasting your money on a cooler if you don't need one. Although I would recommend checking your temps using a different program and through the BIOS so you can be sure thay are correct.
