I guess I have to keep in mind that the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked. Anyway, I want to find what Macromedia and active-X is and is it good or bad for my PC? I keep getting popups for it and am not sure what to do.

yes macromedia and active X are generally a good thing to have. they help to view flash files and flash websites and such. you can find out what you need to know at www.macromedia.com
