Believe it or not, the base model is cheap compared with other ultra portables on the market.

they dont even look good to me if i was spending money ion a laptop i would want a desktop replacment so i could take it to a lan party!like the 20 inch dell models!

Nah,I'd Rather an EEEPC If i wanted something Ultraportalbe,But if i could get any Laptop i think it would be a Dell XPS Or an Asus G2

Sorry I didn't specify, I meant user replaceable. You have to send it in to Apple to get it fixed. Just because they sell replacement batteries doesn't mean it's user replaceable. It's the same as the iPod / iPhone.

It's $130 for a new battery, and the service charges are free. But it takes up to 5 days to get it fixed. Hardly convenient, when the batteries can stop holding their charges in a year or so.
