Ok, I have two partitions, and I am getting Mac OSX. If I just install Mac OS onto the second partition, will I still have the options to select which OS to use on startup?

I have never installed Mac OSX, so bare with me..

Do I just boot from CD like normal, and also, if I do install it, and decide I dont like it, can I just format the partition, and that's the end of it?

Also, where can I get drivers, or will they be preloaded..

Also..(sorry) - Will my laptop run it ok? It's got SSE1, SSE2, and SSE3..

Edit, I knew there was another.. Will 15GB be enough space?

well make a partitionmagic boot disk so u can select the bootable partition incase you mess up. yeah it will run fine. the 6400 is perfect for OSX.

you might wanna get acronis disk director suite as a boot manager.

yeah 15 will be enough. but make a 20 gig partition.

Haha, damn. So it's not just a case of, installing it to second partition, and having the options at startup..?

nah, but its pretty simple. actually, to boot back into windows after mac os x is installed, you go to "system preferences", go to "startup disk" and you click "windows xp"

Install Mac OSX first, and when thats set up install Windows.

That should leave you with the Windows boot options at start up.

you just gotta get a file called chain0 (available for download in some places...google) and put it in the root of c:\ and then go to cmd and type c:\boot.ini

this will open up a text file, now make a new line, and type

c:\chain0 = "mac os x"
