Default Mac not booting, Power supply explosion.

I tried to get an old mac to boot up, in the procces of plugging it in, i just about blew my hand off, now with a more advance power protector, I cannot get it booted again, did the power supply blow up?

Does the power supply smell bad?

It most likely blew one of the large caps. I'm guessing you either had it set at the wrong voltage, or it just hasn't been used for years and capacitor aging got the best of it.

It doesn't stink, but it was sitting in my hayloft for about 5 years? I did take everything out, and clean it though, and got it to run once. But I guess theres only one right way to plug in a mac: Mac first...

Vid of working run: NOTE: nothing happened, because two things: Case was not aligned, and monitor was bad.

Check your power cables. And be careful with those voltages in that PS.
