What would be a good processor/setup for someone who wants to play FPS like Call of Duty 2. AMD or Intel. I've bought from Dell in the past, but I didn't like their customer service. I've been looking at CyberpowerInc.com. My friend has a couple of those and he like them.

Thanks in advance.

A good processor would be an A64 3000+, depends if you want to overclock or not, if you dont go with the A64 3000+ if you do, go with a S939 Opteron 144. Get at least 1GB of RAM. A 6800GS and a DFI LanParty Ultra-D and you should be all set.

CPU : (939-pin) AMD ATHLONâ„¢64 3000+ CPU w/ Hyper Transport Technology ~ CAJ107
MOTHERBOARD : (Sckt939) Biostar TForce 6100-939 NVIDIA Geforce 6100 Chipset SATA PCIE All-in-One w/Video, LAN, USB2.0, &5.1Audio
MEMORY : 1024 MB (512MBx2) PC3200 400MHz Dual Channel DDR MEMORY (Corsair Value Select)
VIDEO CARD : NVIDIA Geforce 6200 256MB 16X PCI EXPRESS VIDEO CARD
VIDEO CARD 2 : NONE
MONITOR & LCD : NONE
HARD DRIVE : 160GB Hard Drive (160GB 7200RPM Ultra ATA 100 Hard Drive -- Recommended)
Hard Drive 2 : NONE
Optical Drive : (Special Price) LG GWA-4161 16X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER (BEIGE COLOR)
Optical Drive 2 : SONY 52X CD-ROM (BLACK COLOR)
SOUND : 3D WAVE ON-BOARD 5.1 SOUND CARD

Good Setup or no?

change out the video card and get a 6800 or, get a 6600GT. But get a different mobo.

Sckt939)Asus A8N-E nForce4 Chipset SATA133 RAID PCI-E w/GbLAN,USB2.0,&7.1Audio

Is that better?

i dont like ASUS that much, but their stability is outstanding, that is a good mobo to get.

If you love to overclock, then DFI and Abit are the way to go.

I'm assuming you're the kind who prefers stability (considering your lack of expertise on motherboards), then ASUS is for you. Their motherboards have a good track record in terms of stability.

Amazingly, I don't know how to overclock, or even what it is. All I know is that it makes your computer work faster. Am I right?
