Default Low/Mid Range Gaming

What would be a good processor/setup for someone who wants to play FPS like Call of Duty 2. AMD or Intel. I've bought from Dell in the past, but I didn't like their customer service. I've been looking at CyberpowerInc.com. My friend has a couple of those and he like them.

Thanks in advance.

A good processor would be an A64 3000+, depends if you want to overclock or not, if you dont go with the A64 3000+ if you do, go with a S939 Opteron 144. Get at least 1GB of RAM. A 6800GS and a DFI LanParty Ultra-D and you should be all set.

If you love to overclock, then DFI and Abit are the way to go.

I'm assuming you're the kind who prefers stability (considering your lack of expertise on motherboards), then ASUS is for you. Their motherboards have a good track record in terms of stability.

Amazingly, I don't know how to overclock, or even what it is. All I know is that it makes your computer work faster. Am I right?
