Default lost emails.

just recovering from a virus that froze up everything on the computer. had to completely reload windows XP. but lost hundreds of emails covering over a thousand pages of research colected over almost 3 years. was still getting cought up on printing when this happened. any way of retreving these emails from the hard drive? i've got an emachines T2341.

you could maybe try a data recovery program, but they are probably lost now, why didnt you back them up before the reinstall?

Im not sure about who your email provider is, but it might be possible that they are still on the mail server if you havent deleted them from there aswell.

did not back them up cause being new to this computing i was not aware of the damage that could happen. only been using a computer just under 7 years but onlu at home and mostly for emails and research a couple times a month. first time this has happened
